After having founded and run an art gallery for a decade, Edsard Schutte decided in 2002 to pursue an enduring dream named advertising. Edsard went back to the drawing boards to learn about concepts and copywriting at SCC in Amsterdam. He teamed up with a young art director and for six flourishing years they worked at four first class agencies: ARA Advertising, TBWA/Neboko Campaign, Ogilvy Amsterdam and Alfred International.
While enjoying his profession as an above-the-line copywriter, Edsard witnessed a dramatic change in the world of advertising. Budgets were being shifted from television to activation and internet. And in a sacred moment of self-reflection, Edsard realized that his best work had always been out of the box. He decided instantly to specialize in media ideas. Developing smart solutions for complicated problems. To move people regardless of the medium used.
In order to fully execute his vision, Edsard started working as a freelancer and is now individually for hire but also in a team with Marc van Wageningen. Marc is an expert in activation with thirteen years of experience at TMP Worldwide, BBDO/Proximity, PPGH/JWT and TBWA/Tequila. He used to be creative director at &KoenseSeverein and Ogilvy Action.
