Clouds are magical. Their appearance and beauty triggers our imagination. How often do you look at the sky and see a particular shape in the clouds? An object. An animal. Maybe a face? While at the same time someone else sees something completely different from the same position. So clouds appear to be like a mirror of our own mind, heart and soul. Clouds also influence our mood. A grey clouded sky could make us feel sad and on the other hand little sheep clouds against a bright blue heaven can make us feel happy and alive. And last but not least, clouds predict. Dark, heavy clouds announce storm and rain while cumulus clouds promise a quiet sunny day. This versatility prompted me to make a series of intense clouds that reflect my own moods and feelings. The endless variety of shapes and colours intrigues me and assures that no piece of work will ever be the same. And to honour this fantastic natural phenomena I named each single work after an official exotic storm from recent history.
