In this series I create images of subjects that mean something to me. That could be an artifact or a person but also a view or a shape. I exaggerate the colours and distort the images to a point that they are hardly recognizable. They become a vague memory, a feeling. After printing, I cut the images into narrow strips of paper and attach them to a dibond background while covering them with celluloid film. The narrow black repetitive lines, the small holes and rearranged images make everything now appear in a whole new order and structure. It seems like a dreamlike, almost digital experience. This technic works for me as a kind of windows to another world. The inner world of my memories, feelings and emotions. Stored on the hard disk of my mind.
